We are a mobile operation currently based in Saylorsburg, PA. Call us at 570.269.1648 for an estimate. Or, if you prefer, use our contact form and we'll contact you to set up an appointment.

• We only provide estimates after we see a job in person.
• We do not provide estimates from a verbal description or photos sent via e-mail.
• Estimates are free for residential customers.
• There is a $25 estimate fee for commercial accounts, HOAs, multi-unit properties, and gated communities.
• Estimates are valid for 15 days.
• Prices do not include removal of wood chips from the ground up stumps.
• On average we grind 4 – 5 inches below the surface. If we hit excessive rocks, a large boulder, or a sheet of slate, grinding will stop at that depth.
• Payment is due at the time we complete the job. We accept cash, checks, all major credit cards, and Venmo (@John-Stratakos). Checks made payable to Master Grinder. Return check fee, $25 minimum. Credit card payments will include a 6% service fee.

I was going to rent a stump grinder and attempt to grind the stumps myself. I decided to hire Master Grinder because there were so many of them and they were large.
I am so happy I made that decision. They did an awesome job, I would highly recommend them and wouldn’t hesitate to hire them again. They completed the job in about five hours, I don’t think I would have finished it in five days. Awesome job!!

I hired this company to bring down some oak, birch and pine trees, and grind stumps from previous trees we had taken down at two properties. John was very responsive, came out and gave us the estimate right away. John did an excellent job, everything was done in a very professional manner, he communicated with us every step of the way, and we couldn't be happier with the job. Highly recommend this company, thanks John and Master Grinder, we can now enjoy our yard!

John and his assistant just left after clearing an area that had many different sizes of stumps so that I can now do some planting. He also removed a huge stump with very large underground roots. This will enable us now to finish grading our back yard. He then finished removing a stump with its roots that was very close to our deck.
He is polite, returns your phone calls, and has great equipment. We have used other stump removal people and his prices are right in line and we got more done.
Would use him again.

John and company just finished grinding stumps and removing rocks from our front lawn. We had no idea what to expect. We had multiple stumps large and small as well as a field of “Pocono Potatoes” . When John was finished 99% of stumps and rocks were gone, stumps ground and rocks added to our rubble wall. The price was more than fair and John prompt and responsive. I recommend him highly.
